If you find that your BenQ screen does not output sound from your laptop, you may need to check the following:#
Check to ensure that the HDMI cable is plugged in properly from your laptop to wall-plate.
On the bottom-left hand corner of your laptop screen, click the sound icon, and ensure the output is set to BenQ, instead of the built-in laptop speakers.
If this does not work, you may need to power cycle/reboot the BenQ screen itself, please use the below procedure:
Press and hold the power button on the BenQ screen, and hold it for 10 seconds.
The BenQ screen will show a message that it will reboot soon, keep holding the button in.
After a few seconds, the screen will turn off, and the stand-by light will flash.
The BenQ screen will then restart itself, this may take up to 2 minutes.
You should then see a welcome screen, and the laptop will display.
Please test the audio again by launching a video, or something that will output sound.
